Kiawah Island is one of the most beautiful barrier islands on the East Coast. Located 25 miles south of Charleston, it is a private resort community that has recently become a town.
Kiawah has a first-class beachfront hotel, as well as hundreds of villas and cottages for rent. Parking is free everywhere.
